Fast, furious, action: enjoy!
Formulize 2.3 RC1 has been released, including full documentation on integration with Drupal!
Formulize is an open source, rapid application development toolkit that can now be integrated into Drupal websites. Formulize is developed by Freeform Solutions, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping other not-for-profits effectively use technology.
We all love Drupal, but when things go wrong, it can be hard to diagnose and fix the problem. This session will go through ways to debug Drupal modules, themes, javascript, whatever. This will include:
Participants are encouraged to share and discuss any techniques they've found useful.
Drupal 6 will have support for OpenID in core. Microsoft, AOL, Wordpress.com, Digg, SixApart and Verisign have all pledged (and in some cases rolled out) support for it. So, what's the big deal?
This session will cover some background on Identity2.0, what it enables and how it changes the way we approach our online identities. We'll look at how the protocol works: specifically discussing the security considerations and implications. We'll also cover how to use the drupal modules, with some demos. We'll finish the hour with a look at the possibilities this technology can enable.
WebFM is a contrib module that provides visual file management comparable to windows explorer and is a great way to organize/present large sets of documents. I'll discuss usage, customizations, configuration and possible roadmaps for the future.
An open discussion about the experiences people have had selling Drupal to corporations.
Topics could include:
Common objections
Concepts they struggle with
Features they respond most to
Technical hurdles
The idea is to compile a set of best practices for getting corporations to adopt Drupal. It would be great to hear from people who have had experience selling Drupal internally.
Hello Everyone,
I recently participated in the creation of a Drupal based website that allowed users to create description of physic places in the world and mapping these locations on a map.
The outcome is pretty sweet, it generates a map on the frontpage and a GeoRSS feed. The GeoRSS feed url can be fed into Google Maps to see the locations mapped.
I would like to find out what you would interested in finding out about GeoRSS and what is possible with this technology.
Setting up multi-lingual objects in Drupal has gotten way easier since 4.6 and there is a great deal to look forward to in Drupal 6. I will be focusing on what is easy to do in Drupal 5 given the existing tools and also provide some overviews of what is difficult or impossible in the current framework. Focus will be on the i18n module, but we hope to provide some coverage of BIDI (left to right and right to left) sites and approaches to using templates.
This session will introduce the CRM API that Trellon is working on. It is basically a single layer for creating and accessing data on various CRM backends using a unified interface, in such a way that the unique features of the different CRMs are still available. I'll be covering: what it does, what problems it's supposed to solve, and where it's at right now. Most importantly, we'll be discussing what the API should do -- what kinds of situations would you use it in?, etc.
Update: There's a CRM API project page on drupal.org: http://drupal.org/project/crmapi
Userpoints is a module that allows users to be awarded points for participating in a web site (e.g. posting content, commenting, ...etc.)
With Userpoints 2.x, a flexible and extensible API has been put in place to allow additional modules to be developed to expand where points can be gained/lost, as well as actions to be performed when points are gained/lost.
